Angelina Jolie in a race to outpopulate Nadya Suleman

Everyone is talking about Nadya Suleman and her new octuplets. "What a miracle!" "Amazing birth!" the headlines read. But what we should be talking about are the mother and her motives.

As we now know, Suleman is an unmarried woman -- who is unemployed and without the skills or education to support her children. She already had SIX kids and was forced to live with her parents who have been raising them. Suleman is on welfare -- and feeds her kids with food stamps. From interviews we have learned that Suleman's mother "begged" the doctor not to artificially inseminate her daughter any more. So she simply went to a new doctor.

What kind of doctor -- ethically speaking -- would use IVF on an welfare mother of six kids?!! Isn't there some kind of code for doctors? Don't they do any kind of information gathering when they take on a patient? Is IVF really covered by state/welfare coverage? This is careless and criminal behavior on the part of the doctor. And what about checking on the mother's mental state? Clearly Nadya Suleman is nuts. This doctor just wanted his onw bit of fame -- and attention.

Suleman is desperately looking for attention, hoping for free stuff, and TV deals. She started doing interviews before the babies were even out of the hospital. She wants to be the next Jon & Kate plus 8. But America is not ready for Crazy woman plus six, plus eight, on welfare, living with her parents quite yet. And if you compare the pre-eight photos with the post -- it is obvious she's had work done on her nose and lips. Add all the craziness together and it's clear -- she wants to be Angelina Jolie. Jolie must be her psycho-role model.

Now to the A.J. part in all of this. Her latest brood are not even one year old and yet the magazines are splashed with headlines that Jolie is working with her fertility doctor to get pregnant again. Whose crazy now? Nobody in the press or media has batted an eye over the fact that Jolie is collecting children like some collect souvenir spoons. Enough already! It's not just that she has too many kids -- but she's dropping them at a frenetic pace that can't possibly allow enough time to love and care for each one.

Let's look this mother and her motives. She is also unmarried. She is also someone in desperate need of attention. True she can support them -- but with that many babies it's the nannies, housekeepers, and scores of hired help who are raising them. And whose taking care of them while A.J. and Pitt are off making movies? Perhaps Nadya Suleman's parents are available. At first A.J. was going for the humanitarian award; adopting babies that were poor, underprivileged, in need. But now she's just pumping them out as fast as her doctors will inseminate her! (And why not get pregnant the old fashioned way? The woman would rather get pregnant by her doctor than Brad Pitt -- that proves she's insane!)

Angelina needs to quit. Just quit while she's ahead. It isn't a race. Trust me, that's not how you win a Lifetime Acheivment award. Having money and fame doesn't make her less crazy than Nadya Suleman, in fact it's worse because she seems intelligent enough to know better. Angelina Jolie's multiple kids might not end up in the system -- but they are nonetheless institutionalized. They are being raced in the human equivalent of a puppy mill. True, they are bred with good genes, but then they're thrown in the kennel with all the rest. And her doctor is just as much at fault as Suleman's. There needs to be some oversight on the part of the IVF doctors. Isn't there a board or something?
